About our president. Walter, originally from Spaniard’s Bay, NL has been on the board of Canadian Parents for French – Newfoundland and Labrador since 2020. He brings experience to the organization from his position as a Vice President with Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro. During his career at Hydro he has held accountability for the company-owned town of Churchill Falls and the independent Eric G. Lambert School which, under Walter’s leadership, adopted an Intensive French program for elementary and junior high students. As a former Late French Immersion student himself, Walter has had many experiences with the French language including both work and travel opportunities. Walter’s proficiency in French has helped him build bridges with his utility peers in Quebec and New Brunswick and he believes that it has also allowed him to live a greater diversity of life experiences.
Board of Directors nominations are welcome!
If you value French as an integral part of Canada and if you are dedicated to providing opportunities for young Canadians to learn and use French,
WE NEED YOU!
